Google has today announced a brand new Chrome Extension for Google Drive designed to make it easier to access files directly from the appropriate desktop application. This setup will enhance Google Drive’s experience Google Drive experience and improve the cloud storage capabilities of Drive. This tutorial will explain ways to integrate Google Drive with applications installed locally on your device using a Chrome extension. The list will show apps you’ve installed on your mobile device that work to Google Drive. If you decide later to delete it, you can simply remove this add-on from your browser by removing this Application Launcher from your Google Chrome extensions. If you’d like to connect with your Mac to Google Drive, you’ll need to download the no-cost Google Drive desktop client for Mac or Windows. If you don’t have Google’s browser on your computer it is possible to download it at /chrome.
Next, open Google Drive in Chrome, click on the file you want to open, and choose “Open using” to display the list of programs running on your PC that can access it.
